Maps lie. Every flat map distorts the globe, and the everyday web map draws Greenland like a continent although Africa is about 14 times larger. 02TrueSize brings the true-size comparison into QGIS and goes further.
Grab any country, any polygon from your layers or an ADM1 region and drag it: the outline is re-projected under the cursor so it always covers its real ground area. Size Duel shows four countries and asks which is biggest, then reports how much the projection misled you. The Distortion tab recommends a projection for your area, grades the current CRS, draws Tissot indicatrices and shows a live distortion readout. Truth Tools add antipodes, great circles, an area-ratio matrix with CSV export and a one-file HTML report.
World boundaries are bundled; ADM1 regions are downloaded once from Natural Earth. Made for teaching projections, scale and spatial reasoning.
