Link HEC-DSS time series to map stations: click a station to explore its graph and table, browse the DSS catalog, and export temporal GeoPackages.
DSS Link brings HEC-DSS time series (HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HEC-DSSVue and other HEC tools) into an interactive QGIS workflow for hydrology, rainfall and climate analysis.
Features:
- DSS Explorer panel: click a station on the map to see its series as an interactive graph (hover values, pan, zoom, save image), a sortable table and summary statistics, and export it to CSV.
- Catalog browser with C (parameter), E (interval) and F (version) filters. D-part date blocks are merged automatically into one logical series.
- Linked GeoPackage export with station and temporal observation layers, ready for the QGIS Temporal Controller.
- Tolerant station matching (case, spaces and punctuation ignored; any script).
Requirements: the pydsstools Python package (Windows and Linux). DSS Link installs it with one click from DSS Explorer > Setup; no OSGeo4W Shell is needed.
Quick start: load a point station layer, open DSS Explorer, choose the DSS file, station layer, ID field and pathname part (usually B) in Setup, click Connect, then activate the station click tool and click a station. A synthetic sample dataset is available in the GitHub repository.
