SCIMAP Toolkit
SCIMAP tools for sediment, network index, and flood risk mapping within a catchment, using FD8 routing, flow-path trace connectivity, and flood impact-point workflows.
Calculates SCIMAP spatial indices including network connectivity, erosion risk, in-channel risk, and flood mean/stdev outputs using native WhiteboxTools hydrological processing (BreachDepressions, FD8FlowAccumulation, D8Pointer, CostDistance) and a flow-path trace connectivity approach. The plugin includes standalone SCIMAP Network Index from DEM and SCIMAP Flood tools. Main SCIMAP workflow inputs are DEM, Land Cover Risk Weighting, and Rainfall rasters; the Flood workflow operates on pre-computed connectivity, runoff, rainfall, and overland flow distance rasters. Outputs include erosion, connectivity, in-channel risk rasters, a vector stream network, flood mean/stdev rasters, and an overland flow travel-distance raster.
