Sentinel Download
Bulk download of Sentinel-2 (L2A/L1C) and Sentinel-1 (GRD) imagery from the Copernicus Data Space for an AOI from a layer or GPKG file, with automatic ready-symbolised products: RGB, CIR, SWIR, GEO composites, NDVI, NDWI, NDMI, NBR, NDSI, NDRE indices and the SCL classification map.
BULK SENTINEL DOWNLOADS WITH READY-TO-USE PRODUCTS
The plugin searches and bulk-downloads satellite imagery from the official Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem (a free account at dataspace.copernicus.eu is required — the plugin includes a built-in sign-up guide).
WHAT YOU CAN DOWNLOAD:
- Sentinel-2 L2A — atmospherically corrected optical imagery (recommended),
- Sentinel-2 L1C — raw optical imagery,
- Sentinel-1 GRD — radar imagery (sees through clouds and at night).
AREA OF INTEREST: a polygon layer from the project or a GeoPackage (.gpkg) file.
FILTERS AND SCENE SELECTION:
- date range, maximum cloud cover, scene limit,
- strategies: all scenes / manual checklist / month filter / automatically the 3 least cloudy scenes of each month.
DOWNLOADING:
- up to 4 parallel downloads, automatic retries after errors,
- resuming of interrupted sessions (already downloaded files are skipped),
- a CSV summary report, optional remembering of credentials.
AUTOMATIC PRODUCTS (GeoTIFF with ready-made symbology — coloured in QGIS from the first second):
- colour composites: RGB (natural colours), CIR (vegetation in red), SWIR (agriculture), GEO (geology); transparent scene edges,
- indices with colour ramps and legends (QML files applied automatically): NDVI (vegetation condition), NDWI (surface water), NDMI (vegetation moisture, droughts), NBR (burn severity), NDSI (snow and ice), NDRE (chlorophyll, early plant stress),
- SCL — the ESA scene classification map with a class legend (vegetation / soil / water / snow / clouds / shadows), perfect for cloud masking.
- Finished products can be loaded into the QGIS project automatically.
