Seismic microzones with morphological gradient
This DTM-based plugin provides a critical territorial screening tool. By intersecting slope gradients (≥ 15°) with seismic microzonation data, it automatically identifies slopes prone to instability or motion amplification during earthquakes. An indispensable asset for geologists and land-use planners, it allows for rapid risk assessment, streamlined site investigations, and the design of targeted mitigation strategies, significantly reducing operational costs and time.

The morphological gradient in seismic areas with slopes greater than 15° can influence the propagation of seismic waves, amplifying their energy and increasing the risks of ground instability.
