Version: [5716] QuickMapCompare 1.1.1

# QuickMapCompare — Release Notes

## v1.1.1 (latest)

**Fix:** the Swipe Compare busy/spinner cursor (added in 1.1.0) now
also shows up when the armed tile reloads because you panned or zoomed
the main canvas — not just on its very first load. Wheel-zooming in
particular wasn't triggering it before, since it doesn't move the
mouse.

## v1.1.0

**New:** when a viewport armed for Swipe Compare is still loading its
content, the cursor over the main canvas now switches to a
busy/spinner shape. Previously, pressing **S** at that moment could
look like it silently did nothing — now it's clear the content just
isn't ready yet. The spinner clears automatically once loading
finishes, once a swipe actually starts, or once nothing is armed.

## v1.0.3 — important fix if you're on v1.0.2

**Fix:** v1.0.2 could crash QGIS shortly after startup, whether or not
Swipe Compare was even in use. The cause was a low-level Qt mechanism
(an application-wide event filter) used to make the **S** key work no
matter where keyboard focus was — it turned out unsafe given how QGIS
loads its many plugins on macOS.

The underlying UX is preserved without the crash: the main canvas now
grabs keyboard focus on its own as soon as you point the mouse at it,
so **S** still works without clicking the canvas first — unless you're
actively typing in a text field elsewhere, in which case hovering the
canvas won't steal your focus.

**If you installed v1.0.2, please update to this version or later.**
