## [3.10.1] - 2026-09-29

- **Fixed: styling and field metadata were lost whenever an output was
saved to
  a file.** Every styled tool looked its output up in
`postProcessAlgorithm`
  with `context.getMapLayer(self.out_layer_id)`; for a GeoPackage or
Shapefile
  path that opens a separate copy of the file, so the renderer and the
field
  aliases landed on that copy and the layer QGIS then loaded arrived
as a plain
  single symbol with raw field names - measured on 42 of 43 styled
tools, on
  QGIS 3.44 and 4.2. The v3.7.0 fix (project lookup to context lookup)
only
  ever held for temporary outputs.
`algorithms/_deliver.py::style_loaded_output`
  now runs each unchanged `postProcessAlgorithm` body from a layer
  post-processor on the loaded layer when the output is a file;
temporary
  outputs behave as before. The runtime matrix re-runs four tools
(categorized,
  graduated, metadata-only, gradient-boosting base) through
`runAndLoadResults`
  with GeoPackage outputs; against the previous code all four fail.
