0.3.0 New: Cartograph (Beta). Turn a QGIS print layout—or the current map view—into a printable HTML cartograph. Choose Cartograph from the dialog’s “Create: Web map” menu, or open it directly with Ctrl+Alt+C (Cmd+Alt+C on macOS). Open the HTML by double-clicking and print at true page size from a Chromium-based browser. - Map items become Interactive frames with pan, zoom and popups where supported, or Image frames rendered by QGIS in the layout’s own CRS. Grids, locator insets, legends, scale bars, north arrows, labels, shapes and pictures carry over. The Checks tab explains differences and omissions. - Autosave keeps every layout with a cartograph file up to date while the window is open. Unrelated files are protected; replacing an existing file through Save As requires confirmation. - Eleven layout templates, on-page editing, editable legends, detail-map insets and Live counts of features currently shown. - Map series: one page per atlas feature, exported as a PDF, PNG ZIP or interactive web page, or printed through QGIS. Native PDF export and QGIS printing recalculate Live counts for each page; HTML, PNG ZIP and browser printing retain the saved count. - Go to location centres a map frame on coordinates or a feature, with zoom presets, exact-scale entry and an option to fit the whole feature. - Native PDF export with bleed, crop marks and a safe-zone guide; CMYK and ICC profiles where supported by the QGIS build. - Colour-vision simulation, importing cartographs back into QGIS layouts, and a Processing algorithm. Web maps and cartographs: - Popups show Value Map and Value Relation descriptions while drawing, filtering, labels and counts retain the stored values. - Prepare enhancement and critique prompts for NIKA or another agent. Nothing is sent automatically. Changed: - The dialog’s title menu selects Web map or Cartograph. - Settings and Help move to header icons. - Closed dropdowns no longer change selection when scrolling. - The window closes when starting or opening another project. Fixed: - Closing during slow background work could crash QGIS. - Failed folder exports now preserve the previous working export; unsuccessful recovery retains backups for a later retry. - Improved symbol sizes, outlines, labels, categorized and graduated classes, legends and raster appearance. - Safer background exports and more reliable progress and cancellation. - Tile addresses containing credentials are blocked. - Popup field names are safely escaped, and hidden key values no longer leak through exported feature IDs.
