HidroModelagem is a hydraulic engineering platform for QGIS focused on water distribution networks. It builds EPANET models from node and pipe layers (or opens an existing .inp file) and runs steady-state or extended-period simulations, bringing pressures, flows, velocities and head loss (Hazen-Williams) to the map, with automatic highlighting of pipes that need reinforcement. It goes beyond simulation: it diagnoses the network in plain language, evaluates an area by hydraulic head alone - using only elevation and demand, with no need to simulate - and recommends where to install air valves in transmission mains and networks (high points, slope changes and long stretches). It also includes: elevation extraction from the Copernicus GLO-30 DEM directly into the node attribute table; Thiessen polygons and automatic identification of critical sectors; assignment of service connections to the nearest influence node; roughness calibration against field-measured pressures; hydraulic calculators (design flows, pipe and pump sizing, water hammer, fire flow); and water-loss analysis using the IWA methodology - water balance, ILI index, FAVAD (pressure management), economic level of leakage and energy efficiency. Requires the WNTR library for EPANET simulation.
