Extract coordinates from Google Maps URLs and create editable point layers in QGIS.
Google URL Locator converts supported Google Maps URLs, including supported shortened links, into WGS84 point features. Point names can be customised before output. Existing name, latitude, longitude and source URL attributes are retained, and a sequential ID is added in output order. Short-link resolution requires an internet connection. No Google API key is required. Copyright (c) 2026 Precision Ag and Leenath Gamage. Licensed under the GNU General Public License v2 or later. Contacts: [email protected] and [email protected].
