Hover to see feature attributes in a floating popup — click hyperlinks, copy attributes or features, and edit values inline.
A toolbar-toggled hover identify tool. Switch it on and hovering over a feature on the active layer shows its attributes in a clean floating popup beside the cursor — no clicking, no attribute table, no Identify panel. Hold Ctrl to query the topmost visible vector layer under the cursor instead, regardless of which layer is active. Press Shift to pin the popup in place; once pinned, hyperlinks become clickable (web URLs, file paths and UNC shares), and footer buttons let you copy the displayed attributes as tab-separated text, copy the feature itself (geometry and attributes) onto the QGIS clipboard exactly like Edit ▸ Copy Features, or edit attribute values inline — saved through a single undoable edit command, with an edit session started automatically if needed. The mouse wheel scrolls overflowing popups instead of zooming the map. Field aliases are respected, hidden fields are skipped, and values render through their editor widget formatters (value maps, dates, checkboxes). Light and dark popup themes, following the QGIS interface theme by default. Works alongside the current map tool without replacing it, and pauses QGIS Map Tips while active. QGIS 3.22+ and QGIS 4.x, Qt5 and Qt6.
