Publication-ready study-distribution maps (bubble or choropleth) for literature reviews, systematic reviews and evidence-gap maps.
Evidence Mapper turns a table of included studies (CSV, Excel, GeoPackage, Shapefile or a layer in your project) into a journal-style figure in the QGIS print layout: area-proportional circles or a country/state choropleth, numbered key, category legend, circle-size legend, scale bar, north arrow, graticule, locator inset and an automatic footnote for studies that cannot be mapped. Works for the whole world, a region, or any country. Locations can come from coordinates, country names/ISO codes, state/province names or geocoded place names. Choose among 11 built-in basemaps (CARTO, Esri, OpenStreetMap, OpenTopoMap) or use any raster layer in your project (e.g. QuickMapServices). Exports PNG/PDF/SVG/TIFF at up to 1200 dpi together with the aggregated data and a suggested figure caption. Settings can be saved for exact reproducibility. Bundled data: Natural Earth (public domain).
