This plugin has an experimental version available!

Epigrass for QGIS brings the Epigrass metapopulation simulation engine into QGIS.
Turn any loaded vector layer (municipalities, health zones, census tracts...) into a spatial epidemic model in a few clicks:
* Map layer columns to site name, population and geocode
* Build the connectivity network by shared-border adjacency, k-nearest neighbours, distance threshold, or from flow columns in the attribute table
* Choose a compartmental model (SIR, SEIR, SEIS, SIS, SI, continuous variants or a CustomModel.py) with parameter presets for common diseases
* Seed the outbreak by clicking a feature on the map, add vaccination campaigns and transport options
* Run the simulation with epirunner in an isolated Python environment managed by the plugin (QGIS's own Python is never touched)
* Watch the epidemic spread on your map: results are loaded back as styled GeoPackage layers and an animated temporal layer for the QGIS Temporal Controller
The plugin requires a one-time setup ("Environment Doctor") which provisions a dedicated Python >= 3.12 environment with Epigrass and checks that a Redis server (required by the Epigrass engine) is reachable, starting one automatically when possible.
