Clip to DWG
Click or click-drag a box on the map to clip the ticked vector layers and export them as a single DWG file.
After clicking the toolbar button, either click two opposite corners on the map or click-drag a box. A pre-flight list then shows exactly which layers are going in, their geometry, how many features fall inside the box and what each will produce, with tick boxes to narrow the set. The chosen layers are clipped at the box extents and saved as a single DWG. Polygon fill patterns are exported as DWG HATCH entities with their opacity preserved; fully transparent hatches are dropped. Layers are written bottom-of-panel first so the top of the Layers panel ends up on top in CAD. All other entities use ByLayer colour, linetype and lineweight so appearance can be controlled in the CAD layer manager. Requires the free ODA File Converter from the Open Design Alliance for the final DXF to DWG conversion; the plugin will prompt for its executable path on first run and explain how to obtain it.
