VIDRas
Automates the calculation of the Via de Intenso Desague (VID) according to Spanish Road Drainage Standard 5.2-IC, using HEC-RAS RAS Mapper outputs (depth D>1m, velocity V>1m/s, DxV>0.5 m2/s) and the 2D model perimeter.
VIDRas implements the Via de Intenso Desague (VID) criterion from the Spanish Road Drainage Standard 5.2-IC (Instruccion de Carreteras, BOE-A-1986-10638). Starting from HEC-RAS RAS Mapper exported layers (depth D>1m, velocity V>1m/s and product DxV>0.5 m2/s), it calculates the Zona de Flujo Preferente (ZFP), applies a configurable buffer and generates simple POLYGON geometries ready to import into HEC-RAS as terrain modifications (+10m), simulating the hydraulic enclosure of the VID. Compatible with Citrix and virtual desktop environments.
