Compute the 3D orientation of a picture and provide the interaction between the picture and the map.
Pic2map has two goals. First, it is used to compute the location and orientation of a picture with 3D Ground Control Points. The orientation can be saved in a Google Earth format. Second, it provides the interaction between the map and the picture through a Digital Elevation Model. Vector layers can be overlaid on the picture, geographic vector layer can be digitized directly in the picture, the picture can be "orthorectified".
This project is currently seeking funding to improve and update the plugin. In case of interest, please contact the author.
