Specialized geospatial tools from the UTN Forest Observatory (Universidad Técnica del Norte - Ecuador) for active wildfire monitoring, historical fire analysis, satellite imagery, global digital elevation models, Google Earth-style Elevation Profile, WorldClim 2.1 global climatology, ESA WorldCover 10m V2, SoilGrids250m 2.0 (ISRIC), Meteograma (Open-Meteo NWP & ERA5 reanalysis), cartographic base mapping, Coordenadas EC tools, and AI-assisted GIS workflows.

**Problem Solved:** Provides forestry researchers, emergency responders, and GIS specialists with immediate access to near-real-time wildfire alerts, historical multi-sensor fire archives, global 30m digital elevation models (Copernicus DEM GLO-30), interactive Google Earth-style topographic elevation profiling with real-time map marker synchronization, multi-panel meteorological forecasting and fire danger index charts (HDWI, HCFM, PBL, wind vectors via Open-Meteo ECMWF/GFS/ERA5), WorldClim 2.1 bioclimatic variables (BIO01-BIO19) and monthly climatology, ESA WorldCover 10m V2 land cover, SoilGrids250m 2.0 digital soil mapping (carbon, pH, nitrogen, textures, density), Cloud-Optimized GeoTIFF (COG) satellite data, Coordenadas EC tools for official Ecuador coordinate reference systems (EPSG:4326 and EPSG:32717), and AI assistance directly inside QGIS without manual downloading or complex API setup.

**Data Sources and Services:**
- **Active and Historical Wildfires:** NASA FIRMS (MODIS and VIIRS) near-real-time thermal anomaly hotspots and custom multi-temporal historical queries via NASA FIRMS API with 8-step temporal symbology, fire radiative power (FRP) classification, automatic project reprojection to EPSG:4326, Ecuador extent auto-framing, and 5-minute background auto-refresh.
- **Meteograma y Pronóstico (Open-Meteo):** Multi-panel interactive weather & fire risk forecasting dialog (HDWI, HCFM dead fuel moisture, dry hours, PBL boundary layer height, wind barbs, rain & probability) supporting ECMWF IFS 0.25°, NOAA GFS, DWD ICON, and ERA5 historical reanalysis with map picking, FIRMS hotspot capture, high-res PNG (300 DPI) and CSV export.
- **Perfil de Elevación (Google Earth Style):** Dynamic, interactive 2D topographic elevation profile docked at bottom with real-time map synchronization. Samples Copernicus DEM GLO-30 or any DEM raster; supports interactive canvas drawing or existing line layers; displays full metrics (Min/Avg/Max elevation, total distance, +/- elevation gain/loss, +/- slopes); exports PNG and CSV.
- **Coordenadas EC (Official Ecuador CRS):** Conversion of Excel and CSV tables to point layers with dual coordinates, point attribute table coordinate updates (Long/Lat EPSG:4326 with 6 decimals and East/North EPSG:32717 with 2 decimals), and polygon/line vertex extraction with distances, area, and perimeter calculations.
- **Satellite Imagery and DEM:** Direct search and streaming of Sentinel-2 L2A (10m), Landsat Collection 2 Level-2 (30m), and Copernicus DEM GLO-30 (30m) via Microsoft Planetary Computer STAC API with automated AOI selection (Canvas, 24 Ecuador Provinces), multi-band RGB compositions, and spectral indices (NDVI, NBR, NBR2, NDWI, NDMI, EVI).
- **SoilGrids250m 2.0 (ISRIC World Soil Information):** Subcategoría Suelo para descarga, recorte y visualización científica de 10 propiedades edafológicas (SOC, OCS stock 0-30cm, pH en agua, nitrógeno total, arcilla, limo, arena, densidad aparente, CEC, fragmentos gruesos) a 6 profundidades estándar (0-5cm a 100-200cm) con SRC predeterminado EPSG:4326.
- **WorldClim 2.1 Global Climatology:** Direct download and automated AOI clipping for 19 Bioclimatic variables (BIO01 to BIO19) and monthly climatological series (tmin, tmax, tavg, prec, srad, wind, vapr, elev) at 30 arc-seconds (~1 km) resolution.
- **Base Maps:** High-resolution XYZ satellite and topographic tiles (Google Hybrid, Google Road, Bing Satellite, OpenStreetMap Standard, and OpenTopoMap) automatically placed at the bottom of the layer stack.
- **AI Assistant (MCP):** Built-in Model Context Protocol socket server (port 9876, auto-start) connecting QGIS with Google Antigravity for autonomous GIS analysis and geoprocessing.

**Requirements:** Active internet connection for streaming remote STAC, WFS, and XYZ tile services. Zero external Python dependencies required (100% native PyQGIS and standard Python library).

**License:** GNU General Public License v3.0 (GPLv3).
