Magnetic Declination & Grid Convergence
Calculates geomagnetic declination, magnetic field elements, annual variation, and grid convergence from WGS84 coordinates, date, elevation, a geomagnetic coefficient file, and target CRS.
User Guide: Select the calculation date within the supported model date range. Enter latitude and longitude in degrees, minutes, and seconds, with the appropriate hemisphere. Enter ellipsoidal height in metres above the WGS84 ellipsoid. Select a geomagnetic coefficient file valid for the calculation date. Grid convergence uses the selected target CRS, with automatic UTM selection available. The results include magnetic declination, inclination, field intensity components, grid convergence, and annual changes. Check the date, coordinates, height, model file, CRS, and sign conventions when comparing results with other applications. The full guide is available through the Guide button in the plugin window.
