Version: [5731] QuickMapGif 0.5.0

# QuickMapGif v0.5.0

## Highlights

**The capture outline now stays visible when "Lock extent" is
unchecked.**
Previously, unchecking "Lock extent" hid the canvas outline entirely,
so
there was no way to see what area would actually be captured while
moving
the camera between frames. It now stays on screen and follows your
pan/zoom continuously, always showing exactly what the next "Capture
Frame" click would grab.

**Fixed: unlocked captures now respect Extent/Unit/Layer/Resolution.**
While building the outline fix, we found that unlocked captures were
ignoring the sizing controls entirely and just grabbing whatever the
raw
canvas view happened to be — meaning frames could come out different
shapes between captures depending on your window size or zoom level.
Now,
whether locked or unlocked, every capture uses the configured extent
size;
unlocking just means that size follows your view instead of staying
fixed to one reference frame.

## Why this matters

If you use the unlocked workflow (intentionally moving the camera
between
frames — e.g. panning along a route, or recentering on a new area of
interest each capture), you can now see precisely what you're about to
capture at every step, and every frame will come out the exact size
and
shape you configured.

## Upgrade notes

No configuration changes needed. If you had "Lock extent" unchecked in
a
previous version, you'll now see the outline reappear — that's
expected.
