- **Per-building colour variation:** every building of a given function used to be drawn in the *exact* same shade, which reads as one flat artificial mass. Each building now gets a small (±7% HSL-lightness) variation, `jitterBuildingColor`, seeded by its own footprint centroid — so it is **deterministic** (the same area always looks identical, cache-safe), preserves hue & saturation (the active **web theme** still reads), and is **free** (wall materials are already created per building, so no extra draw calls or frame-rate cost). A block of housing or offices now reads as many individual buildings.
