Die unkomplizierte Generierung zufälliger, teilweise auch fehlerbehafteter Testdaten kann für Entwicklung und Test von GI-Systemen sehr wichtig sein. Das Plugin "RandomPolygons" generiert n zufällige Polygone in der Ausdehnung des aktuellen Kartenausschnittes und im aktuellen Koordinatenbezugssystem. Dabei kann der Nutzer folgende Parameter einstellen: die Anzahl der zu generierenden Polygone (1 ... 2000), die maximale Anzahl der Ecken der Polygone (3 ... 20), den Anteil der nicht gültigen Polygon (1 ... 50 Prozent) und die Ausdehnung der Polygone bezogen auf die Gesamtausdehnung der aktuellen Ansicht (1 ... 50 Prozent).
The uncomplicated generation of random test data, sometimes with errors, can be very important for the development and testing of GI systems. The ‘RandomPolygons’ plugin generates n random polygons in the extent of the current map section and in the current coordinate reference system. The user can set the following parameters: the number of polygons to be generated (1 ... 2000), the maximum number of corners of the polygons (3 ... 20), the proportion of invalid polygons (1 ... 50 Percent) and the extent of the polygons in relation to the total extent of the current view (1 ... 50 Percent).
