SIOSE2Manning is a QGIS plugin that assigns Manning's roughness values to SIOSE AR polygons using the dominant coverage (ID_COBERTURA_MAX) of the T_COMBINADA layer. It allows users to load SIOSE AR data from a GeoPackage, select an Area of Interest (AOI) directly on the map, clip the map to that AOI, calculate polygon areas, and generate a layer ready for use in hydraulic and hydrological modeling (e.g., HEC-RAS). This development has benefited from technical contributions and discussions shared by Antonio López and the GIS community on LinkedIn, which helped guide the methodological approach, although the design and implementation of the plugin were developed independently by the authors.
Spanish: SIOSE2Manning es un complemento de QGIS que asigna valores de rugosidad de Manning a los polígonos de SIOSE AR utilizando la cobertura dominante (ID_COBERTURA_MAX) de la capa T_COMBINADA. Permite cargar datos de SIOSE AR desde un GeoPackage, seleccionar un Area de Interes directamente en el mapa, recortar la cartografía a dicha AOI, calcular areas de poligonos y generar una capa lista para su uso en modelacion hidraulica e hidrologica (por ejemplo HEC-RAS). Este desarrollo se ha beneficiado de aportes técnicos y discusiones compartidas por a Antonio López y la comunidad SIG en LinkedIn, que ayudaron a orientar el enfoque metodológico, aunque el diseño e implementación del complemento han sido desarrollados de forma independiente por los autores.
