In this work, a software tool was developed in the form of a plug-in for Quantum GIS that allows for multi-temporal analysis with the purpose of detecting changes in land cover. The analysis is executed from multi-spectral images provided by the space program LANDSAT. This contribution allows the user community of GIS free software, the availability of an analysis tool, which optimizes the interpretation of natural resources so that they can propose policies and more efficient management plans.
