about=02Geo3D turns a DEM and your building, wall, tree and pole layers into an interactive 3D scene in three steps (terrain, objects, open in 3D), runs environmental analyses on the GPU in the browser, and returns every result to QGIS as styled GeoTIFF and GeoPackage layers.
THREE-STEP WORKFLOW: Build the ground mesh from a DEM, extrude objects from height fields or expressions while keeping their QGIS symbology, and open the scene with one click.
SUN AND DAYLIGHT: Sun hours, shadow casting for any date and time, sky view factor, facade daylight as Vertical Sky Component under a CIE overcast sky, annual solar irradiation, and rooftop and facade PV yield.
MICROCLIMATE AND THERMAL COMFORT: Surface energy balance with Bowen-ratio partitioning, ground surface temperature, evapotranspiration cooling from tree canopies, Physiological Equivalent Temperature (PET) and UTCI heat stress, 24-hour diurnal studies, seasonal outdoor comfort from EnergyPlus EPW/TMYx weather files, and interactive tree planting to test the effect of new canopy.
VENTILATION, AIR AND NOISE: Street-canyon ventilation efficiency, normalised air age, traffic NO2 and PM2.5 dispersion with filtration by trees, pedestrian wind screening with animated streamlines, and 3D noise propagation based on ISO 9613-2 with quiet-facade detection.
URBAN FORM AND CLIMATE: Panoramic pedestrian Green View Index, Knowles and BRE 3D solar envelopes with height limits and floor capacity, heat-island morphology and approximate Local Climate Zones.
TERRAIN AND WATER: Slope, aspect, hillshade, curvature, topographic position (TPI), ruggedness (TRI), topographic wetness (TWI), dynamic cross-sections, flood inundation, and cut-and-fill earthwork volumes.
PLANNING CHECKS AND OPTIMISATION: BRE 209 daylight and sunlight compliance checks with shareable threshold profiles, side-by-side A/B scenario comparison, and multi-objective NSGA-II building-height optimisation.
PRESENTATION AND EXPORT: Up to eight synchronised view panels, 8K captures, PDF documentation sheets, GLB models, MP4 video and standalone offline HTML packages.
The scene runs on a local server at 127.0.0.1; your data stays on your computer. QGIS 3.28 to QGIS 4.

changelog=
1.2.3 - Hub listing text rewritten; author Geophilo; university affiliation removed; documentation links use the standard geophilo.com pages (manual.html, guide/); manual HTML no longer ships in the plugin package.
    1.2.2 - DEM no-data cells stay empty.
        - Fixed: a DEM clipped to a concave polygon showed made-up ground in its no-data cells (-9999): they were filled by interpolation, or, without a declared no-data value, drawn at -9999.
        - No-data cells are now left out of the terrain mesh, clicks, contours, profiles, flooding, cut and fill, terrain maps and every analysis result sent to QGIS.
        - An undeclared -9999, -32768 or -32767 is recognised as no data.
1.2.1 - Audit of every tool: fixes and a responsive page during analyses.
        - Fixed: results on the wrong buildings after a re-export; A vs B for facade daylight; scenes with 16+ layers.
        - Fixed: optimiser daylight constraint reach; southern-hemisphere seasons; A vs B solar and comfort settings.
        - Fixed: Green View field of view, cut and fill Balance on small polygons, profile DXF, large terrain maps to QGIS.
        - Fixed: visibility from a selected building now maps where the building can be seen from (its top edge).
        - Fixed: the sun's time zone without a weather file comes from the nearest weather station (Turkey: UTC+3).
        - Realistic defaults: NO2 emission 60 ug/(m s) and road sound power 82 dB(A)/m for a busy two-lane road.
        - Noise map up to 11 times and traffic dispersion 3 times faster; the page stays responsive during analyses.
        - QGIS 4: QAction imported from QtGui (Qt6).
1.2.0 - Roads for the noise and air-quality maps, faster noise map, and fixes.
        - Roads layer role with a per-road Traffic expression; OpenStreetMap roads with traffic by road class.
        - Fixed: QGIS line layers never reached the noise and dispersion maps from the Analyze cards.
        - Noise map three to ten times faster, with progress instead of freezing the page.
        - Fixed: pollution map saturating without roads; the solar envelope limiting a building by its own shadow.
        - Fixed: Bowen-ratio surface temperature, wind streamline artefacts, manual weather in the 24 h study.
        - Reference manual chapters for microclimate, ventilation, noise, green view and the solar envelope.
1.1.0 - ENVI-met style microclimate, canyon ventilation, 3D acoustics, Green View Index and solar envelope.
        - Surface energy balance and microclimate physics: surface temperature, canopy evapotranspiration cooling, Bowen ratio partitioning, and interactive 3D tree planting.
        - Physiological Equivalent Temperature (PET, MEMI energy balance) alongside UTCI and surface-aware Mean Radiant Temperature.
        - 24-hour animated diurnal thermal comfort studies with point microclimate profile curves and polar sun-path stereographic diagrams.
        - Street-canyon ventilation efficiency (VEI), normalized air age, and traffic pollutant dispersion (NO2/PM2.5) with tree filtration.
        - 3D environmental noise propagation (ISO 9613-2 / CNOSSOS-EU proxy) with Maekawa barrier diffraction and quiet-facade detection.
        - Pedestrian Green View Index (GVI) and Knowles / BRE 3D Solar Envelope height limits and floor capacity.
