The TUFLOW Version Manager is a centralised location for managing
and listing available TUFLOW versions.
Tools such as Create Project will get TUFLOW versions from the version manager and give users the available options to select from. This allows versions to be set up once and the user is not required to locate the TUFLOW.exe file each time.
Versions
The Versions tab lists all available TUFLOW versions. This is a read-only list and versions should be added in the locations tabs.
If a version is not listed here, it will not be available in tools such as Create Project.
Locations
The Locations tab lists installed and user added locations of TUFLOW versions.
The Installed TUFLOW binary locations is a read-only list of locations where TUFLOW versions have been installed via the TUFLOW installer on Windows or the Linux package manager.
The User added TUFLOW release directories are locations where the user can manually add folders containing TUFLOW versions. The directory can either be the directory that contains the TUFLOW.exe file or a parent directory that contains multiple versions. The version manager will search the directory and subdirectories for TUFLOW.exe files and use the parent directory as the version name. This is useful as it allows new versions to automatically be added if the user uses a common directory for all TUFLOW versions (e.g. C:\TUFLOW\releases). See the example below.
The User added TUFLOW binary locations point directly to the TUFLOW.exe file and give the user the opportunity to give the version a custom name.
