SENTINEL DOWNLOAD — QGIS plugin
© Grzegorz Górniak (gorniakgrzegorz@gmail.com)

WHAT IT IS
Bulk downloading of satellite imagery from the official Copernicus
Data Space Ecosystem:
 - Sentinel-2 L2A (atmospherically corrected optical imagery)
 - Sentinel-2 L1C (raw optical imagery)
 - Sentinel-1 GRD (radar — sees through clouds and at night)
From every Sentinel-2 scene the plugin can immediately build
ready-symbolised GeoTIFF products:
 - colour composites: RGB, CIR, SWIR (agriculture), GEO (geology)
 - indices with colour ramps and legends: NDVI, NDWI, NDMI, NBR,
   NDSI, NDRE
 - the ESA SCL scene classification map — great for cloud masking

INSTALLATION
1. QGIS -> Plugins -> Manage and Install Plugins...
2. "Install from ZIP" tab
3. Choose sentinel_download.zip -> Install Plugin
4. The "Sentinel Download" button appears on the toolbar

REQUIREMENTS
- QGIS 3.16 or newer (nothing to install — the plugin uses GDAL and
  numpy bundled with QGIS)
- a free account at https://dataspace.copernicus.eu (the plugin
  includes a built-in sign-up guide)

HOW TO USE
1. Click the "Sentinel Download" button
2. Choose the satellite, the area (a project layer or a .gpkg file),
dates, cloud limit, credentials and a target folder
3. Tick the products and click START DOWNLOAD
4. In the scene picker untick what you do not need (or use "best 3
of every month"), confirm — and watch the progress bar
5. Finished products can be loaded into the project automatically

Interrupted? Run it again — the plugin skips what is already on disk
and finishes the rest. A CSV report lands in the target folder.
