RAVI originated as the undergraduate final project (TCC) of Caio Arantes, developed under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Lucas dos Rios Amaral. Currently, RAVI is an open-source project maintained with the support of FARM Analytica, a company co-founded by Caio Arantes. The project remains committed to technology diffusion and the open-source software philosophy, with continuous maintenance and the periodic implementation of new features.
The RAVI Plugin (Remote Analysis of Vegetation Indices) is a tool developed for QGIS that simplifies the calculation and analysis of vegetation indices using data from the Google Earth Engine (GEE). It enables the processing of satellite imagery to support vegetation health monitoring, agricultural productivity assessment, and environmental change analysis, fully integrated within the QGIS environment.
