description=Search STAC catalogs and open satellite images in QGIS. No account needed to start.
about=Search STAC catalogs, preview scenes and open satellite images in QGIS
    without downloading files first. Pick a collection (Sentinel-2, Landsat,
    Sentinel-1, elevation, land cover and more), a date range and a cloud
    cover limit, and QStac searches the area shown on your map.

    Microsoft Planetary Computer is the default catalog and needs no account.
    Earth Search (ESA Copernicus open data on AWS) is also built in, and so
    is Copernicus Data Space (Copernicus Land Monitoring products and more;
    images need S3 keys from a free account). You can add any other STAC
    API from the dock.

    Features:
    - Planetary Computer, Earth Search and Copernicus Data Space built in,
      plus any STAC API you add
    - Filter by collection, date range and cloud cover
    - Search the current map view, with thumbnail previews
    - True color images made from the separate bands for you
    - NDVI and NDWI index layers
    - Searches run in the background, so you can keep working in QGIS
    - Log in with any QGIS authentication method (OAuth2, Basic, API key and
      others)
