about=QGarage lets you install, run and manage small, self-contained Python tools (apps) and toolboxes from one dashboard. Skip excessive boilerplate and write apps for your business which reach users in QGIS and ArcGIS Pro, with easy updates, and avoid dependency hell - each app gets its own Python environment, built with uv or pixi. Learn how to make your apps or toolbox at the Github. Version 3 brings a visual upgrade.

3.0.0: A new look for QGarage. Rounded app cards, round action buttons, a bottom bar with the logo, version and search, and restyled install, new app and marketplace screens, all in one colour scheme with the Jersey 15 and JetBrains Mono fonts. Searching opens matching toolboxes, toolbox arrows animate, and the layout holds up in narrow docks. Apps installed from inside a toolbox folder now stay with that toolbox, and the dashboard shows a checking state while uv and pixi are being verified.
2.6.1: Minor bug fixes and performance improvements
2.6.0: feat: Implement marketplace scanning and caching functionality
		- Added Marketplace and MarketplaceCache classes for managing local app and toolbox discovery.
		- Introduced scanning capabilities to identify installable items without modifying the filesystem.
		- Implemented caching of marketplace data to improve performance and reduce redundant scans.
		- Enhanced the ToolboxCardWidget to support primary actions for toolboxes.
		- Added fuzzy search capabilities for improved user experience in the marketplace pane.
		- Created tests for marketplace scanning, caching, and search functionalities to ensure reliability.
2.3.0: Prompted installation of uv and pixi. Optional parameters and specific vector type requirements.
2.2.7: Add backward-compatible input contract extensions for dashboard-only optional parameters and vector geometry-restricted layer inputs.
2.2.0: Updates to include installation prompts for uv and pixi, and compatibility fixes.
2.1.3: Sanitize QGIS Python environment during uv verification and degrade gracefully when uv verification times out or fails
2.1.2: Fix uv executable discovery on Windows (~/.local/bin fallback), fix module aliasing for side-by-side test installations
2.1.1: Fix critical Windows Error 1 subprocess launch bug (nested double-quotes in cmd.exe wrapper), update documentation to accurately reflect persistent venv model (not ephemeral uv run)
2.1.0: Persistent per-app environments with improved lifecycle handling, robust unloading/reload/upgrade paths, strengthened app install/update flows, per-app bridge resolution improvements, Windows uv subprocess quoting and SSL_CERT_DIR fixes
2.0.1: Fix Windows uv subprocess launch quoting and SSL_CERT_DIR sanitization
2.0.0: Dual uv/pixi backends, async environment preparation, Processing Toolbox integration, bundled TestToolbox examples
