Interactively measure pixel distances on raster layers

Pixie is a lightweight QGIS plugin for measuring pixel distances directly on raster images. It is particularly useful for workflows involving scanned maps or plans that need to be metricized using scale bars.

Usage

• Select a raster layer in the layer panel.
• Activate Pixie from the toolbar.
• Click two points (e.g., ends of a scale bar).
• The pixel distance is displayed and copied to clipboard.

Typical workflow

• Measure scale bar with Pixie
• Use value in metricize tool
• Proceed with analysis

Notes

• Works in raster pixel space (not map units).
• Designed to integrate with Entropolis workflows.
