PEAU DU MONDE| postProcessor — quick card v0.99.4 · ENC, Inland ENC and S-101 wetSotE, inside the production run, before issue

1 Content

  1. select folder… — one set or many: a tile per set and usage, the newest first; the band by product (S-57 green, S-101 purple, S-102 red, IENC blue), the name on white; search tiles filters them. Push a tile: its list, with back to tiles and stage again.
  2. That set is copied into the workspace; OpenStreetMap goes under the chart, unless officeSettings says not. The delivered set is only read. Every cell is outlined by its coverage in green (cells), named where it fits.
  3. The table lists every data set file: filename, issue date, edition number, standard, standard edition. Base cells are ticked; update files are listed and applied for the audit and Attributes, not for the wetSotE review — the line says where an update changes the wetSotE: not checked. Every producer's cells can be worked; another office's are never written under its code, but as a copy under yours (Edits asks first).
  4. deselect all · select all · tick what you want. Then Audit.

2 The review

  • Review and chart start together, largest cells first. The status line, every second: cells done, findings solved in the cells at work, a clock.
  • The chart gets a group Peau du Monde | postProcessor · set: depth areas, unsurveyed areas, land, pontoons, hulks, floating docks, coastline, shoreline constructions, gates, dams, depth contours — EPSG:3857, ENCoreGIS | Pro order, styles and chart settings. Amsterdam: ~3 min.
  • Soundings with show soundings ticked (off at start), decluttered as ENCoreGIS | Pro does (Amsterdam: 2.4 million after ~10 min). Status: soundings loaded.
  • On top: findings A B C D, and picked finding.
  • The findings list in Audit when the review ends; its line says how long it took.

3 Audit

  1. review wetSotE — the cells ticked in Content.
  2. review Full — the same, then the audit: S-58, the Feature Catalogue, quality. Per cell after the wetSotE findings, by object layer, C · E · W, no go — for production, and in the report by check.
  3. Pick a finding — the chart pans and zooms to it:
    the finding
    the edge as delivered
the edge as the solution writes it
  4. Under the list: the title, the rule it breaks, quoted, the rule that decided, what leaving it does, what changes.
  5. go or no go — only findings with a solution take one; a go is an edit in Edits.
  6. show all ▾ lists one level; on A, B or C: go: every level A (B, C).
  7. By hand: edit in the chart, move vertices and nodes, check edit, save edit. Points on one coordinate are one node: nodes merge, edges split or become one, a twin line may be deleted — warned as records changed. Shoal safety: shown, yours. While editing, the chart shows only the SotE; lines are drawn by class (contour dashed blue, unsurveyed violet, land ochre, depth area magenta) and the metadata is left out.

Levels

Abelow resolution — no vertex moves more than one lattice step (~1 cm).
Bfurther — read the metres, m², who gains, rules set aside.
Cdecide — a cure the tool can perform: node it · point it at the right node · two nodes made one · the hole to the area that holds it · fill the space. Go or no go, one at a time or with go: every level C; no go makes it D.
Dby hand — no cure, or no rule decides; the reason says what was tried.

Who yields

  • COALNE, SLCONS, GATCON, DAMCON stay (inland slcons, gatcon too). Pylons and bridges do not anchor.
  • Pontoon, hulk, floating dock win against water.
  • DEPARE wins from UNSARE — never beyond the M_SREL it lies in.
  • DEPARE against DEPARE: the shallower range keeps it.
  • Stuck? A node moves with all on it; edges along each other step apart; the protected edge moves one step, against the rule; then anything under 200 mm that breaks nothing, the rule set aside named.
  • Land against water: cleared only by what the standard allows there (SLCONS, gate, dam, pier…), else D.

Never

  • issue dates, edition numbers, update numbers — untouched;
  • the delivered set — never written; the duplicate goes to your home directory;
  • tolerance — every crossing counts, to the lattice unit.

4 Attributes

  • Object layers on screen, folded; zoom in, the list shortens. Unfold one: its objects on the chart, in blue.
  • Search bar, whole set: LNAM, FOID, ORIENT=0, a name, a word (brug); clear it: the screen.
  • Layer → objects (click: outlined) → attributes. Double-click a value; add attribute…; clear to remove.
  • A change goes to every piece with the object's FOID, in every cell: all or none.
  • save edit — one row per object in Edits. Any value; the structure is guarded.
  • add object… — any time: pick the class, click, or draw the line or area freely across cells; each cell gets its piece, one FOID. Then its attributes, from the catalogue, mandatory first — not saved until those are filled; SCAMIN filled in — Inland: your region's in the Encoding Guide of the set's edition, else Europe's; ENC: a step past the compilation scale. An ENC cell takes no Inland class.
  • relocate… — a point object: click its new place; when others stand on its node, you are asked first. delete object — in every cell it lies in.
  • walradar — every unsurveyed area as a depth area, in a set of its own: <set>_WALRADAR. A hole in the survey, amid depth, stays; one against land always goes.

5 Edits

  • Every edit, one row; tick what goes; remove edit undoes a saved one; delivery report is here.
  • write edits to products — every ticked edit — into production\<set>_alt1, the report into reviews; staging again starts _alt2.
  • Solutions change coordinate values only; a hand edit that alters records carries the warning.
  • Each cell is proven octet for octet and scrutinised again; a solution that would create a finding is refused, one cleared along with another is marked cleared.
  • Catalogue CRCs patched in place and verified; if it cannot follow, all is put back.
  • run model… — a source of floating aids through one of the office's models; the suggestions come back to tick. Right-click one that is a known discrepancy: to ignore list, and runs leave that object out. Another office's cells go out as copies under your own code, asked first.

6 Convert

  • The ticked S-57 cells — ENC or Inland ENC — to one S-101 exchange set. Repair first, then convert.
  • The set: producer code (officeSettings), Feature Catalogue, dates, languages, organisation; the certificate from officeSettings, the key asked at every run and kept nowhere.
  • Per chart: S-65's display scales filled in, the purpose to choose, name tail, title — checked by the converter's rules at write.
  • An Inland cell goes through its maritime twin: classes renamed or deleted, CEVNI marks by your rules; the last column counts it, the list below says each change and why.
  • write → production\<set>_S101, a report per dataset; go to products opens it; stage it to audit it.

7 Settings

  • officeSettings — producer code, agency code, agency name, S-100 producer code, the region whose Inland rules you follow, the home directory on a fixed disk, not in OneDrive (nothing is written without it), the project CRS, the signing certificate; save. Staging says whose each cell is; nothing is written under another office's code. 2FA: scan the QR, confirm the code; then lockSession, above the tabs, locks the panel until the authenticator's code.
  • buoyageSystems — chartProduction's MARSYS areas: pick the system, Draw area on the chart; corners snap to the stored areas. Copy chartProduction's areas adds its IALA A and CEVNI areas.
  • vmbModels — the office's models from chartProduction's VMB; a model on a web service keeps its link.
  • scaminValues — the SCAMIN list for your region, in the staged set's edition, beside the office's own; type one to keep it.
  • No database: kept in pdm_postprocess\reference.gpkg in your QGIS profile; a newer ZIP keeps it.

8 S-101 · S-102

  • An S-100 set (CATALOG.XML) is worked as an S-57 set: S-101 cells take everything but walradar; S-102 surfaces are drawn — depth in your bands, uncertainty beside it — and audited, never edited.
  • Layers by scale: 1:22000 | 05 Depth Area (area). Findings say curve and point, and cite S-158:101.
  • review Full audits by S-158; the report lists every check — failed, passed, not implemented.
  • Attributes: types by the catalogue's names, complex attributes nested, each value saved where it lives.
  • A changed dataset is written unsigned (R-PP97); the set Convert makes is signed.
