about=Artsdatabanken lanserte Natur i Norge (NiN) versjon 3.0 i 2024. The Norwegian Biodiversity Information Centre (Artsdatabanken) launched version 3.0 of Nature in Norway (NiN) in 2024. To support this, a plugin has been developed for QGIS to facilitate field-based mapping according to NiN 3.0. The purpose of the plugin is to make NiN mapping more accessible and efficient – for both professionals and users without specialized technical expertise.

changelog=
    0.5.1:
    - Fixes from the plugins.qgis.org checks: defused WMTS capabilities parsing, non-security SHA-1 flag, renamed constant (Bandit); fully scoped Qt6 enum names; corrected manual install instructions
    0.5:
    - Added classified point and line layers (nin_points, nin_lines) for types below the MMU and linear structures (#29)
    - Symbology colours are now derived from the mapping unit code, so the same type has the same colour in every project (#62, #75)
    - Mapping layers are named with the chosen scale, e.g. nin_polygons_M005 (#66)
    - The create-project button stays disabled until CRS, hovedtypegruppe and gpkg location are set (#47)
    - Option to add the layers to the open QGIS project instead of creating NiN_kartlegging.qgz (#72)
    - Norge i bilder: the token is stored as a QGIS authentication configuration (sent as X-Esri-Authorization header on every tile request; a token in the URL never reached the tiles), only the token is asked for, an info button opens the token guide, and a clear message is shown when the login fails or a background map cannot be loaded (#71)
    0.4:
    - QGIS 4.0 / Qt6 compatibility
    - Updated CSV tables from NiN-Kode API (2026)
    - Added timeout logic for API requests
    - Improved test coverage
    - Fixed duplicate nin_polygons layer in layer tree
