GeologyCloud Loader 地質雲資料載入
geologycloud_loader
Load Taiwan Geology Cloud (地質雲) open geological data for the current map view as scratch layers, and export them in one click.
Connects QGIS to the public data supply API of the Geology Cloud value-added application platform (https://www.geologycloud.tw), run by the Geological Survey and Mining Management Agency, MOEA, Taiwan. Tick any of the 23 datasets (1:50,000 / 1:250,000 / 1:500,000 geological maps, dip slopes, rockfalls, debris flows, rock mass strength, hot springs, engineering boreholes, CGPS stations, ...). The plugin downloads the features inside the visible extent (on demand, or automatically when the map moves if enabled) and shows them in memory (scratch) layers, symbolised automatically according to the CGS Digital Geological Map Specification v4.4 (symbol code -> pattern, colour, line and marker symbols, with a named legend). All scratch layers can be exported in one click to GeoPackage, Shapefile or GeoJSON, in WGS 84 or TWD97. A second tab adds the 59 layers of the GSMMA geological map WMS service (1:50,000 to 1:1,000,000 geological maps, active faults, geologically sensitive areas, environmental geology, wells and hot springs), grouped like the official QGIS project files.
Requires an internet connection; no extra Python packages. Please avoid querying very large areas so as not to overload the Geology Cloud servers.
