Plan retention tree groups based on ecosystem service values enriched by hotspot analysis (Getis & Ord 1992). The delineation of the retention tree groups is applied from the highest hotspot values of ecosystem services.
Input parameters
- Trees Trees as vector point format
- Tree species Field of tree species with codes (1=Scots pine, 2=Norway spruce, 3=Betula pendula, 4= Betula pubenscens,5=Populus tremula, 7=Alnus glutinosa, 29 = other deciduous tree)
- Tree species Field of diameter (cm)
- DTW Dept-to-Water -index (m)
- Vegetation zones Vegetation zones of boreal forest as vector polygon format
- Water body Water bodies to consider in Phosphorus retention calculation
- Forest grid Attibute data of forest grid need to have "fertilityclass","MEANHEIGHTPINE","MEANHEIGHTSPRUCE","MEANHEIGHTDECIDUOUS"
- Retention tree count (trees/ha) Count of retention trees. Minimum of the PEFC sertificate is 10 trees / ha
- Advanced parameters Weighting of the ecoystem services. Pret emphasize water protection, DTW biodiversity and water protection, Ds biodiversity, and DWP biodiversity and climate
Outputs
- Trees Single-trees of planning area with ecosystem services values
- Retention tree groups Proposed retention tree groups based on weight of the indices
