description=Watch live aircraft traffic (ADS-B) on your map — stream planes in your map view or a drawn area.
about=Contrail streams live ADS-B aircraft positions into QGIS and shows them moving on the map — track your current map view or draw an area to watch. Choose a data source: adsb.lol, adsb.fi, or the OpenSky Network — all free and keyless, no account required. Aircraft are coloured by category and rotated to their track, with callsign, country, altitude, speed and squawk; busy areas cluster into counted badges, a toggle shows only airborne aircraft, and emergency squawks (7500/7600/7700) are highlighted. Built on a provider abstraction so other ADS-B sources can be added. Data is live only — Contrail does not replay history. It is the sky-side companion to Wake, which does the same for live marine vessel traffic.
