{"name": "Contours2Mesh", "package_name": "contours2mesh", "description": "Build 3D triangular fault surfaces from elevation contours, with adjustable mesh spacing and GeoJSON output.", "about": "Contours2Mesh builds nonplanar 3D fault surfaces from two or more manually drafted contours. Reorder or exclude contours, set point spacing in kilometers, and generate a MultiPolygonZ mesh as a temporary layer or a GeoJSON file. The meshing library resamples contours and interpolates between them before connecting adjacent points into triangles.\nInputs must be single LineString or LineStringZ features in a geographic longitude/latitude CRS (EPSG:4326 recommended), with at least four vertices per contour and consistent digitizing direction. Supply elevations in meters through vertex Z coordinates or a numeric elev field. Order contours from top to bottom; a draped surface trace may need manual reordering. Multipart lines must first be converted to singleparts.\nRequires NumPy >=1.20 in the Python environment used by QGIS (normally included with QGIS). GeoPandas, SciPy and Shapely are not required by the plugin. These dependencies are not bundled or installed automatically; see the README in the source repository for installation instructions. The BSD-licensed CFM-ccfm meshing source is bundled. CrossSectionDigitizer and Qgis2threejs are optional companion tools.\nCRESCENT original code is BSD-3-Clause; retained Plugin Builder scaffolding is GPL-2.0-or-later. QGIS and PyQt retain their own licenses; use with the GPL edition of PyQt is subject to GPLv3.
