description=Corridor modelling on terrain: extrudes typical cross sections along an alignment, clips them against any DEM, builds the TIN, computes earthwork volumes and produces the drawings.
about=A Civil 3D reduced to the essentials, inside QGIS. FEATURES: (1) Typical cross section editor built by composing elements -- carriageway, shoulder, verge, kerb or wall, triangular or trapezoidal ditch, daylight slope and benched slope --, with independent left and right branches and separate cut and fill groups, so each side decides on its own whether to excavate or fill; includes live preview over a configurable test hillside, error validation and a JSON section library with nine starting templates, from a road or a ditch to a concrete gravity dam, a rockfill dam with an upstream face slab and an embankment dam with berms. (2) Dynamic parameters: any value can be a number, a V:H slope, a reference to a layer field (@width) or a QGIS expression, resolved once per alignment feature. (3) Corridor computation: a different section per feature chosen by a field, stations at a configurable interval plus the alignment vertices placed on the angle bisector, axis elevation taken from the DEM, from the alignment Z or from a constant value or from an offset above or below the terrain, both of which can also be written into the layer Z (as a fixed elevation or draped onto the DEM) to keep editing it vertex by vertex, bilinear terrain sampling with tile caching, support for any raster GDAL can read and for mesh layers, and automatic warnings when sections cross on tight curves or when a slope fails to daylight. (4) TIN stitched by point code, which lets sections with a different number of benches mesh correctly, with optional merge with the base terrain to deliver a single continuous surface with no gaps or overlaps. (5) Grouped, ready styled outputs: TIN polygons coloured by zone -- cut, fill, at grade and natural ground -- with earthwork thickness; cross sections with red elevation and areas; feature lines and daylight lines; corridor footprint; axis with road symbol; stations labelled as km+m, rotated and offset from the axis; points for every vertex; earthwork table; and a 2DM mesh that QGIS loads as a native mesh layer. (6) Exact earthwork measurement by integration between design and terrain, volumes by average end areas or by the prismoidal formula, and mass haul diagram with a bulking factor. (7) Dockable profile viewer with longitudinal profile, cross section at the current station and mass haul diagram, station navigation synchronised with the map both ways, image export, and a checklist that overlays as many alignments as you want -- from the same corridor or from different alternatives -- in the longitudinal profile and in the mass haul diagram, each with its own colour, while the cross section follows the highlighted one. (8) Automatic drawings generated in paper space: plan sheets paginated with an atlas and rotated so the axis runs horizontally, with a choice of which layers reach the map and whether the whole set of drawings is the main alignment's -- with the others appearing only where they cut its planes -- or every alignment gets its own complete set, longitudinal profile of the main alignment with a data band showing station, ground elevation, design elevation and cut or fill depth, and the other corridors appearing where they actually cut its vertical plane, cross section sheets on a grid fitted to the paper size, and a closing earthwork sheet with totals; with the other corridors drawn wherever they cross or run close, dashed and clipped to the frame, both in the cross sections (their trace on that very cutting plane) and in the longitudinal profile (their grade lines); with standard scales, true 1:1 framing, automatic paper selection, .qpt templates for the title block and export to PDF and DXF. (9) Export and import of the whole corridor as a GeoPackage with its styles plus a JSON holding the resolved sections, which allows reopening it and going on measuring and drawing without the DEM and without recomputing. (10) Several corridors per session as comparable alternatives. (11) Processing algorithm aqgis:corredor for models, batch runs and the console. (13) Longitudinal profile editor: the vertical alignment is drawn with the mouse over the terrain profile using the same digitizing tools as in plan view -- straight, arc, Bezier and NURBS per segment, with control handles and weights -- plus symmetric parabolic vertical curves defined by their length L or by their K value, snapping to the terrain and to round stations and elevations, an editable table of PVIs, multiple vertex selection (Ctrl+click or rubber band) so a whole stretch can be raised or lowered without distorting it, automatic simplification when reading the layer Z so the grade line does not inherit the hundreds of vertices of the plan alignment, live cut and fill shading, feedback on the map in plan view, and writing the result into the layer Z with automatic densification so vertical curves are not lost. (14) Reservoir capacity curve: elevation, stored volume and flooded area of a reservoir or pond from the DEM of its basin, computed by histogram accumulation so the cost does not depend on the number of elevations, with optional clipping by a polygon layer, CSV and PNG output, and the clipped DEM loaded and styled as a water surface with the ramp stretched between its own minimum and maximum. (15) Calculated corridors survive closing QGIS: they are saved next to the project and recovered when it is reopened, or read from the JSON beside an exported GeoPackage. (16) Extensive help shipped inside the plugin. Authors: Rafael Vazquez and Claude. Free software under the GNU General Public License v3 or later (GPL v3+).
