about=This plugin contains utility expressions to work with data from the Norwegian SOSI format. The expressions will be listed under SOSI in the expression list in e.g. the field calculator.
<h4>rotation_from_vector("vectorfield")</h4>From "vectorfield", a field containing a vector as a space separated string of numbers, e.g. "0 -1" or "0.2 0.8", a rotation in degrees is calculated. This function can be used directly for calculating a rotation angle in the symbology window, in which case the symbol will be rotated the number of degrees clockwise so a stymbol initially pointing northwards is pointing in the same direction as the vector. If the symbol initially is not pointing northwards, the angular offset can be corrected, e.g.
     <i>rotation_from_vector("vectorfield") + 90</i>
for a symbol that is pointing westwards.
