Where to act first
The critical source areas: land where erosion risk and connectivity to the river are both high, so material is both given up and carried to the channel. Each area is a contiguous patch of the catchment's top 5% of land by erosion risk × connectivity, largest first, with the score that puts it there. Select one to find it on the map.
Risk distribution
How cell values are spread across the catchment. The shaded band is the 5th–95th percentile range the map colours use.
Risk concentration across the catchment
Every cell of the landscape ranked from lowest risk to highest, against the share of total risk it carries. The further the curve sags below the even-risk diagonal, the more a small part of the catchment produces the risk — and the better targeting works. Follows the layer chosen above.
Wetness and connectivity
Each point is a cell: its topographic wetness index against its hydrological connectivity to the channel.
Priority reaches
The reaches carrying the highest in-channel risk concentration. Select one to find it on the map.
