{"name": "ENCoreGIS | pro", "package_name": "ENCoreGIS", "description": "Load, portray, audit and validate S-57 / Inland ENC (and S-101) charts, with an ECDIS-style Chart Viewer and S-100 overlays (S-102 / S-104 / S-111). NOT FOR NAVIGATION.", "about": "ENCoreGIS | pro reads electronic nautical charts with its own ISO 8211 engine (no GDAL S-57 driver), portrays them with an S-52 / Inland engine, and adds an ECDIS-style Chart Viewer with S-100 overlays: S-102 bathymetry, S-104 water level (tidal engine, with its coverage outlined on the chart) and S-111 surface currents. Runs on QGIS 3.x and QGIS 4.x (Qt5 and Qt6) from the same code. The Source Validator cross-checks chart content against authority registers - points, linestrings and polygons - with a generalization dead-band so a properly generalised chart never false-flags. It audits cells against IHO / Inland-ENC technical standards and validates them against authoritative sources. IMPORTANT: the audit and validation features (including the S-158 / S-100 conformance checks) are EXPERIMENTAL and under active development. Many checks are provisional and calibrated against a limited set of test data; they must NOT be relied upon as a substitute for field-tested, officially approved ENC validation software. Treat all findings as indicative only. NOT FOR NAVIGATION. Use the product at your own risk and discretion. You are responsible for the proper handling of ENC products and datasets and for respecting the ownership and IP of the dataset producers.
