about=Directional Line Buffer creates one-sided or two-sided buffer polygons from a line you digitize on the map canvas. Choose Left, Right or Both, type a distance in meters and watch the polygon update as you move the mouse. Finish the line and the polygon is saved into your own polygon layer or into a temporary layer, with the distance and side stored as attributes. Typical uses: road setbacks, riparian strips, pipeline corridors and one-sided rights-of-way. Requires a projected CRS in meters. Distances are planar. The plugin is experimental.
