The CRAG Plugin

The CRAG plugin for QGIS is written by the British Geological Survey (BGS) and is used to collect field data. It adds the required GeoPackage database and layers to a project so that data can be collected in BGS format. It also provides tools to quickly work with points and lines on the map, manage photos, create a field report and validate data.

Mergin Maps

Mergin Maps, written by Lutra Consulting, provides a server and a QGIS plugin which together can be used to synchronise project data between users and devices, and provide a detailed history with data versioning. Mergin Maps also provides an Android and Apple mobile app that can be used to collect data in the field using the same forms as the CRAG plugin. Additionally, the app allows photographs to be added to locality point data directly.
